Hitler wasn

being thrown in the river?

no, they had have rotted away withing months of being dumped into the river.

This girl in my soccer team thinks I

I just started soccer a few weeks ago..like I've never played before. So I was a bit new to the team, everyone was already talking to their old friends (they've played in the same team for a few years?) and so I only had one of my friend. So I started a conversation with this girl (let's assume her name is K)K, and I asked if she knew a guy named J (let's assume that as well). She said that he was her brother, and asked me all these questions. I said that he was a bit taller than her, with dark, curly brown hair and he works at "(place name)".

She was a bit shocked and thought I had stalked her brother... but the truth was when I was in year 5, his girlfriend asked me for a pen and since then I kinda remembered his face, then another time was when he talked to me and my friends on the bus. And I knew his name cause I saw K talking to him after one soccer practise and I thought I knew him from somewhere.

I know where he works at is because my school is located in the same direction as the place he works at, so I have to catch a bus everyday, and one day I saw him.

I don't know what she thinks of me now...A psycho stalker? I think she was joking when she had said it..but I'm still not sure? Am I a stalker?

No. I don't think your a stalker, i think you have a good memory and you observe your surroundings on the way to school. If your passing a place and recognize someone or see someone you might know, it obviously going to stand out. Just try talking to her again, maybe less about her brother. Just have general conversation with her, if she meant what she said she won't talk to you!!

Good Luck

No I don't thing that you're a stalker. I just think you've got a crush on the guy. And I think K is being over protective of her brother. Probably just surprised her because you know so much about him.

yea

What

My son. I'd give my life to protect him.

the most important thing in my life is to live happy... live with honour.. live with friends... live with dignity... i jus want to live till i am "alive"..... did you hear the song " its my life " by bon jovi..!!
What do you understand by the term postmodernism in a political context?

Postmodernism literally means 'after the modernist movement'. While "modern" itself refers to something "related to the present", the movement of modernism and the following reaction of postmodernism are defined by a set of perspectives. It is used in critical theory to refer to a point of departure for works of literature, drama, architecture, cinema and design, as well as in marketing and business and the interpretation of history, law and culture in the late 20th century.

Postmodernism is an aesthetic, literary, political or social philosophy, which was the basis of the attempt to describe a condition, or a state of being, or something concerned with changes to institutions and conditions.

Michel Foucault rejected the label of postmodernism explicitly in interviews but is seen by many to advocate a form of critique that is "postmodern" in that it breaks with the Utopian and transcendental nature of "modern" critique by calling universal norms of the Enlightenment into question. What counts as "postmodern" is a stake in political struggles where the method of critique is at issue. The recurring themes of these debates are between essential ism and anti-foundational ism, universalism and relativism, where enlightenment thinking is seen to represent the former and postmodernism the latter.

was that the answer of your question ?

Who put all these ninnies in control?

And recognizing them for what they are, why do we let them stay in control?

Really really good question!

Human Services help pls?

The SREB in 1979 identified a classification for thirteen functional roles for human service workers.

Linkage/Advocacy; Therapeutic EnvironmentalControl; Administration/Management; Treatment/PLanning.

Evaluation; Education; Research; and Counseling

Linkage/Advocacy; Education; Administration; Treatment.

Treatment/Planning; Administration/Management; Linkage/Advocacy; Education/Counseling.

None of the above. The SREB prefers the generalist nonclassified identification.

The ability to work with consumers to provide "across the board" services, to work in a variety of settings; to work cooperatively with all professions, and to offer a number of therapeutic services describes:

A human service worker.

A generalist.

A subspecialist.

All of the above.

What is your most favourite field in serving the humanity?

some people thing that service to the humanity is the best work..

what do you say about this..

Service begins at home !

Give good education after food and shelter

What is the most humiliating thing that has happened to you?

There are so many little things that happened to me that were pretty humiliating, I guess. I'm not really too embarassed about stuff anymore. One time I flipped out on my whole class and they all ran from me. That was a pretty bad day.

Similar thing to JustDreamingg happened to my friend. She was running to catch a bus which had stopped to pick people up. It was nearly ready to set off but she thought she could squeeze in the nearly closed doors but they shut on her! She had her body and one leg inside the bus and the other leg and her arms outside the bus! She too had red mark on her arms! I just collapsed in the walkway with laughter which probably embarassed me too!

My moment..more embarassing than humiliating (I think I've probably repressed all mine!) was either tripping over my dog in front of a whole train's worth of people, starting my period without realising so the whole back-underneath of my trousers was stained and I had to walk through plymouth to get to the car :S or when I needed to let off some steam, sprinting as fast I could through these woods with music full volume screaming! This old woman walking her dog was rather scared!

Now your turn :P

I was in Mexico, I ate some bad food, (when i bought it, i knew it was unsanitary :/) On the way to my destination , with about 5 family memebers in the truck, i got really bad diarreah, no bathrooms for hundred kilometers, I have to crap on the side of the road with my mom sheltering me with a blanket. whle trucks pass by, :( my name is kept confidental :)

The most humiliating thing that happened to me? I think that was singing at her window ... and all of her neighbours were watching me ... ann her, an at the end of my song, she told me that I'm an a.sshole..xD..! Preety humiliating..! Bby3

you know those automatic rotating doors? well, i quickly tried to get in one but my head got caught in it and i couldn't get out because I was wedged in. After, i finally got out i had a big red marks up the side of my face. I was so embarrassed :P

When the boyfriend of my crush bullied me in the bathroom, then he said to me: Don't you ever talk to my girlfriend!. He do this in front of many people! Then everyone was starring at me bec. of what happen.

Can someone explain social dwarwanism?

am i low or high on the list. I make strait A's, I live in a middle class home, I use recreational drugs, and I"m clumsy.

Social Darwinism is a belief, popular in the late Victorian era in England, America, and elsewhere, which states that the strongest or fittest should survive and flourish in society, while the weak and unfit should be allowed to die.

The theory was chiefly expounded by Herbert Spencer, whose ethical philosophies always held an elitist view and received a boost from the application of Darwinian ideas such as adaptation and natural selection.

Some extreme Social Darwinists argued that it was morally incorrect to assist those weaker than oneself, since that would be promoting the survival and possible reproduction of someone who was fundamentally unfit.

You would be pretty low on the list!

* Middle-class

* Drug use

* Clumsy

Don't feel bad - I'm an amputee.

According to Social Darwinism, I should have been snuffed out ages ago!

What is the cutest age?

What age are we the absolute cutest in your opinion? Also what age do you think most children stop being "cute". This is all just personal opinion.

5 is cute 15 ugly

toddler-age. They still have the cute baby faces and wide imagination which makes them come up with the most creative things.

U.s. Census Bureau workers?

I saw a census worker walking down my street today. What is he doing? I know they haven't started the 2010 census yet.

What do you think would happen?

OK so say that you were to dive or whatever to the titanic and get coal or a rock or something like that and bring it home what would happen would some sort of portal to a ghost world or something??Or would you just have a very dirty old stinky thing...? i don't know it just popped into my head while watching a t.v.show..

It would depend on just how out there your imagination is!

(And there appears to be nothing wrong with yours!)

Assuming you did reach the Titanic and managed to get a keepsake, it's value would be in it's story, stinky or otherwise.

Shy friend

You have a very shy, reserved, soft-spoken friend. She's really sweet but barely talks and seems uncomfortable being the center of attention. If she ever is, she blushes and avoids eye contact. She has facebook though and is very open on there. She posted a few videos on facebook of her playing the piano and they're pretty good. But in person she's soooooo quiet and shy.

Do you think it's weird that she posted those videos? What would u think after seeing them?

i dont think its weird at all that she posted the videos. For someone who is shy and doesnt really like to express themselves, its a lot easier to do it on facebook where you can hide behind a computer.. I think its very normal.

Maybe your friend feels more comfortable posting online because she doesn't feel as if she's being watched or scrutinized by others like she would if she were playing piano live in front of people.

There's nothing wrong with that. If you really enjoy her piano performances, be sure to tell her and compliment her in person. It might help boost her confidence, especially when it's coming from a genuine friend like yourself. :)

i wouldnt think any diffrerent of her.nothing worn with showing her talent

Pretty and beautiful?

whats the difference? according to you

To me, pretty is something that makes me smile a little inside and invites me to come closer.

Beautiful is something that stuns me and makes me just want to stare with my mouth hanging open.

Pretty are the new spring leaves coming out on the trees around the town, and beautiful is the Grand Canyon. Pretty makes me want to impress... while beautiful just reminds me that I am unworthy.

Give me pretty any day of the week and I'll be a happy man!

Pretty is something appealing to the eye. Beautiful is something that's so attractive, it's almost too good to be true.

Have any of you lefty

When I was in Kindergarten, a nun used to slap my left palm with a ruler every day and make me write right handed.

Tell your tells of unfair treatment and prosecution, and let us start a revolution!

I was. I was forced to use my right hand to write but my penmanship was atrocious. So they finally gave up and switched me back to my left hand. Now my penmanship is terrible with either hand.

Being sinister has some advantages, though. We are more balanced with our left/right brain use, more creative, more holistically oriented, and generally more intelligent. We also become more adept at using our opposite hand.

Little known fact are that left handedness is supposed to be a sign of having alien or angelic origins and elite standing in the NWO.

Yes. I went to a small country school and was retrained to write the correct way. I now can write with either hand.

THANK YOU EVERYONE you guys are a big help thank you so much :)

Socrates was famous for asking "What is it?" questions, such as what is virtue? What is justice? When people came up with the standard answers of the time, he picked their reasoning apart. For example, when he asked one young Greek what justice was and the answer that it was whatever the strongest could pull off, he put that answer to shame. It was said he was the wisest of the Greeks because he knew that he did not know; in other words, when a lot of people assumed they had all the answers, Socrates could demonstrate to them that they didn't. The Socratic method of questioning and answering via dialogue came to be known as one of the major forms of debate for our time.

His student, Plato, also became a great philosopher in his own right, and taught Aristotle, carrying on the tradition of Greek thinking. Socrates never wrote anything down; he was against the written record, so the only record we have of Socrates is what Plato wrote.

Socrates was accused of impiety, disrespecting the Gods, and corrupting the youth of Athens, and for that, was sentenced to death by a group of dictators whom he had offended. To prove that he respected the law of Athens and was innocent of the charges of insurrection, he obeyed the sentence of death and drank a poison called hemlock, which slowly killed him. His last words were asking one of his disciples to pay a cock (chicken) to the God Aesculapius as it was the custom to pay this offering for one dying, and to prove he didn't disrespect the Gods.

Socrates was a patriot, having fought in the wars against the Persians. He was a stone cutter by trade, and was said to be particularly ugly, having the face of a rather homely fish, but he had a beautiful mind.

Why did this model - type guy get so giddy when he saw me again?

We had a great conversation and the next time he saw me he acted like a little boy, staring at me back and forth, etc...we are in our mid 20s and I think he has a girlfriend.

...is it because I'm black?

He is obviously besotted with you. He does not love you because you are black. He loves everything about you.

His overwhelming love for you makes him embarrassed and renders him so dysfunctional he can barely talk to you.

He worships you. Don't hurt him. He's very vulnerable. If you're not attracted to him move on nicely. If you are attracted to him see where it goes.

Since you people often play that race card, be advised it always gets trumped anyhow.. Now to answer, it's clear like many other broads, you have what is now known as delusional disorder [DD].. To explain, it acquires symptoms similar to people who see what are called mirages when they are out in the desert sun too long.. Simple remedies include attending meetings, like those who belong to A.A. There you learn lessons in humility & being humble, as decent people without the disorder are. Basically other members you'll meet there will remind you to get over yourself li'l girl.. All that is understood by your question is that you are the one obviously giddy..

Are you sure he's not gay and enjoy having a girlfriend to talk to?

If he's not then he want to get you in bed. I don't think being black has a lot to do with it. If it does maybe its because he likes black girls or never been with one and wants to try.

Maybe he likes you, but could not say anything in public.

LoL, what?

What would being black have to do with becoming giddy?

Most likely he really likes you -- end of story.

Nuclear combustion. Is it a good thing?

Do you as an individual think we can make it past the next 50 years without some sort of Nuclear war?

As technology marches forward and more powerful technologies become increasingly prevalent, it%26#039;s only a matter of time before high school students have the materials necessary to construct a nuke or stronger in their physics lab room. Granted, that point%26#039;s likely more than fifty years off, but my point%26#039;s simply that we can%26#039;t suppress advanced weapons forever.

In some sense, global culture will have to adjust to be one that better handles the ability of one individual to bring about huge amounts of damage to all others.

Just like any tool can be used for horrible things, Dr. Einstein had horrible misgivings about his work after the military built nuclear munitions using his work.

Truth be told that if we simply consider how much good we have obtained through diagnostic and therapeutic radioactive material in medicine, it%26#039;s quite astonishing. Virtually every thyroid workup will involved at least and I 123 diagnostic scan or a I 131 therapeutic treatment for any hyperactive thyroid issue. Until only the past few years, before recent advances in MRI, the only way to look into the body to look at physiology was, indeed, radioisotopic imaging.

The entire country of France runs nearly on 95% nuclear fissionalble material and has done so, without incident, for over a decade.

With absolute monsters at the head of many countries any technology can be misused, but then the US was the first to use this unprecedented technology in war.

The truth is it%26#039;s very hard to convince the public that we%26#039;ve made huge strides in the engineering of nuclear power plants and assure the public that they are safe from terroris whowish to sabotage these wonderful, wasteless resources.

We%26#039;ve gone further then that so far, and it%26#039;s been more of a threat in the past. I honestly can%26#039;t see anyone being stupid enough to push that button and it%26#039;s not even worth a second of worrying about.

*edit Even the haters have someone in charge who knows there%26#039;s only one reaction to a nuclear attack.

No! Because I think there are to many unstable folks on the planet who have short tempers and no impulse control and would blow things up with nuclear weapons!

It%26#039;s scary possibility for all of us, and the environment too!

Assuming we don%26#039;t piss off the Iranians and the North Koreans too much, and they don%26#039;t just give up all pretenses and nuke each other for the hell of it . . . yes.

What do all these jobs have in common?

Miner < to some extent

Trawlers and other deep sea fishermen

Builder

Soldier

Early explorers

Blacksmith

Traditional mens jobs yes.

But whilst he was down t'pit, or pulling fish out of the sea, or building something or fighting for his country or discovering different lands or shodding a horse, at home there was a woman, who made sure he had a nice clean home to come to at night, a hot dinner on the table after a hard days work, clean dry and comfortable clothes for him to wear etc etc.

We didnt sit on our arses doing nothing you know......

Edit: I have never said that, working class men were oppressed as much as any woman.

These are all hard back-breaking jobs that only a man can do effectively.

they all require little brain power

They all require a man.

they were all men

Why do people block others for no good reason?

Can people not handle differing opinions?

The idea of a forum is to hear everyone's opinions and share and even debate the topic. So blocking someone means the poster doesn't want a debate from an opposing poster. Seems to defeat the whole purpose of a forum.

Well, if it's for "no good reason", then it's probably for a bad reason, or a reason that's not really good or bad. But it seems pretty presumptuous to assume that there was no good reason to begin with.

Still, as I ask with everything like this- why care?

I block stalkers and those who send me nasty emails. I also block people who block me and those who can only type the same old hackneyed lies instead of using critical thinking to answer a question. I also block people who use yahoo for spam.

The Arctic Cat can't handle opinions. I don't care though. She doesn't have anything interesting to share.

Apparently not. Some people want to hear only what they want to hear...

but then you have certain trolls who just go onto your question to be stupid. Those folks deserve to be blocked if you ask me.

It's like a 3 year old saying "you hurt my feewings, you're not my friend anymore"

Why ask on a public forum if you don't want ALL points of view?

i get a little thrill when people block me...it means that i've gotten so far under their skin that they want to pretend i don't exist

I don't.I just block the a**holes.

I have been blocked by many fems don't hurt me any lol.

Y did Octomoron choose a $500 mil house w/ 4 bedrooms, for 14 kids?

with that kind of money she could have picked a huge house in the midwest or other parts of the country.

A 500 thousand million dollar house? Come work for me & I'll pay you eleventy million dollars.

$500,000, not million. It's just a slightly nicer than average house in Orange County.

Some contractor donated services and partitioned off a bunch of space and made like a baby green house.

And no argument, she's a freak.

you said it yourself, "octomoron". why did she decide to take fertility pills when she could barely afford to feed the ones she had? because she's an idiot.

She's an idiot. What did you expect?

She's stupid.

Excuse me; I meant to say she's a moron.

Are reality shows setting unrealistic standards for skanks?

Good question. I think it is getting progressively difficult to compete with the level of skankiness portrayed on reality shows today. I would have to say, yes, we are setting unrealistic standards for skanks.

If these shows are making skanks feel bad the skanks can just switch them off.

Only fools believe reality shows are real....

Ladies only please...?

How old were you when you started masturbating and were you ever molested and what was your experiance good or bad and was it a man or woman close reative friend of the family teacher school nurce etc.

11 and i liked it and i still like it cuz i eat his ***

You're really not going to get any answer you are looking for because:

A) It's too personal

B) You're not a psychiatrist

C) "Was your experience good or bad" Are you implying being molested could ever be good?

D) You're a stranger

E) So many spelling mistakes that you sound like a curious 12 year old

F) Many women have too much class to reveal such information online

Well then I know this is a really personal question to ask and you probably know that. You are going to get very mean comments. I know how you feel though I've asked inappropriate questions before just because I was truly curious and didn't know I would offend anyone. Maybe try to rephrase it and not be so blunt then you will get more understanding answers I think.

Why would anyone tell a bunch of strangers on the internet such personal information? None of those things are any of your business.

17. Never been molested by anyone.

Why on earth do you need to know this? Go talk dirty to someone else.

Feminist how confident are you in your believe that feminist have not made any anti male laws.?

Feminist do you believe that feminist organization have not made anti male law. I'm not going to show you evidenced despite the fact that i do have evidenced that feminist have made anti male laws. Im just merely asking a question that do you think feminist have not made any anti male laws because i always keep hearing people saying that feminist will never do things like that because it stand for equality.

Since feminism is based on half truths, distortions and downright lies, I can't imagine any of the sisterhood will answer this question honestly.

They will probably say something about how they are nice people who just want fair treatment. They will likely tell us to just ignore all the hateful propaganda they churn out in order to gain advantages for women at mens' expense. And please ignore all the discrimination against men that feminists have demanded and gotten over the years.

They are nice folks. You hear? And if you don't agree, maybe you should be sent to re-education camp or sensitivity training so you can be taught to think like a good feminist.

I'm glad you are hearing that feminism is about equality, because it's the truth. Feminism isn't an organised political party that gets into office and enacts legislation, however. And if it were a law-enacting body, the ideals of feminism are in direct opposition to ANY institutionalised hate-mongering or discrimination.

We're still very much on the receiving end of the hate-mongering. It's frustrating sometimes as retaliation in kind is self-defeating and not what we want or how we want to be.

Some fanatical anti-feminists would have you believe that lobbying for equal-rights legislation should be off-limits for feminists. Some of them have also equated being employed by a male-owned company with exploiting men (how twisted was that?!) and some of them call for feminists to be sterilised, "neutralised," "marginalised" and once or twice simply "killed."

I'm able to distinguish these creeps from the more thoughtful commentators but many people wouldn't make the effort in the face of all that venom.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone or group tried to introduce a law that was anti-male. That is why laws go through a review process before they are passed, and even after that the court system can challenge a law.

I wouldn't even be surprised if there are feminists who are horrible and mean people. But I'm not. I still believe what I believe but still choose to be an ethical person. Just because some people take it too far doesn't mean there aren't other feminists who've introduced very good equitable laws to help women like anti-stalking or equal pay legislation.

LOL ! This is like asking a hypocrite if he's/she's proud of his/her hypocrisy. Feminists can deny any and all anti-male laws and profess their dislike for the radicals, but the solidarity that they display to the likes of H. Harman and J. Smith is undeniable.

H. Harman wants corporations to prefer the woman over an equally qualified man. J. Smith wants all women's prisons to be closed. These laws can't be called pro-men in any sense/form.

Leeward side

feminists groups lobby for legislative changes all the time

family law, criminal law, employment law.

and the US and UK are feminist governments. The UN is heavily influenced by feminism too.

Leeward the most obvious one is VAWA, and it had to be rewritten because the original draft was so discriminatory.

Its kind of hard for 'feminists' to make any laws, at all, since they don't run any governments yet. and if silly men keep harping on how bad women treat them, there are indeed going to be some anti-men laws implimented.

Oh, and its belief, not believe and its OK to pluralize feminist, since thereare more than one feminist in the world.

EDIT: would you like to pull out one of those 'laws' you are talking about? Or are you afraid you'll be proved a liar?

Leeward Side: Its kind of hard for 'feminists' to make any laws, at all, since they don't run any governments yet.

???

Joe Biden - Vice President

Nancy Pelosi - Speaker of the House

Hillary Clinton - Secretary of State

Don't they all call themselves feminists? Wasn't Joe Biden instrumental in passing the VAWA?

FEMINism isn't about equality. That's what gender equality is about.

FEMINism is about getting extra privileges for women.

Those who are mysognyists believe that any law that protects women is automatically anti-male. Hence the reason they are launching such a backlash as of late.

I am confident that any woman involved in the creation of laws that unfairly disadvantage men is not really a feminist.

They won't admit it, but they will label you a misogynist for pointing out the truth.

Uhm, this should be interesting LOL

What do you think of the new trend of using plus-sized male actors in leading roles?

Examples: Seth Rogen, Jack Black, Anthony Anderson, Kevin James, Cedric the Entertainer.

Open question with very few details. I don't want to influence others with my own thoughts on this one.

I think it's awesome! They are normal people with normal/ average body images. Some people think that only women have the negative body image, but I've known a few anorexic men and many overweight men that are insecure about their images. So for them to watch a non skinny guy, I would think, as I feel this way about a normal/ non-skinny woman, that they would feel less insecure when watching these movies! Plus, I have always liked men with more meat on them, so I personally rather watch these movies than something with skinny Brad Pitt in it!!

something like:

1) Beauty and The Beast

2) Princess and The Frog

3) Shrek

that send the message "don't be shallow by just looks to love"

-but only to women.

to encourage women to date as ugly and fat guys as possible, in order to prove self-coolness, while it's ok for men to stick with their shallowness when it comes to choosing women with beauty.

double standard? -but doesn't really work that good. more girls still go for the Twilight dude.

I like it- having more size representations on screen is a good thing. Plus, I don't want to imagine how sad the world would be if I couldn't enjoy my hilarious Jack Black movies just because he was bigger than what some producer thought would be appealing.

That said, I sure wish there were more plus-sized women in leading roles as well.

I like to see a variety of people on screen. Not everyone in the the world fits in to the Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt category. I would really like to see more normal people and not just what we think are the beautiful people. I loved the movie dream girls with Jennifer Hudson. She is very talented. I think John Goodman is so funny. so bring on the talent regardless of size or race or gender

I hadn't noticed it or really thought anything of it until you pointed it out. But I'm fine with it, I think Jack Black in particular is awesome to watch and even occasionally adorable. Now if only Hollywood had such an open mind toward female leads.

I think they are attractive. I don't mind it. I like seeing all kinds of people in leading roles.

I agree, talent is important.

I do wish there were more plus size women in leading roles. Bridget Jones isn't a good representation.

who cares about their weight there funny as hell. it's nothing new seeing overweight men in movies. even women, theres a lot of funny women that are plus-sized that i would date just because their funny. america loves funny people.

New trend? Where have you been in the last 100 years? It would be a new trend if producers started casting overweight females in leading roles, but other than Hairspray I don't see it happening.

Black, white, fat, thin, yellow, average...whatever.

I just want to see talented people on screen. We have enough airheads who 'act' based solely on looks and not talent.

It seems to fit in with the "all men are inept burn-outs" theme that women demand from the media.

Whatever, I don't care. I don't really view them in terms of their size, just their talent.

Why gender discrimination is there in this world?

Reasons, Factors, Solutions

Well back in the day in most parts of the world, religion ruled over all. All religions are linked in one way or another. So ideas from Christianity and Islam are same in some ways. Now my point in saying this is that in Genesis in The Bible, people interepret the %26quot;rib bone taken from a man to make a woman%26quot; as a sign that men were meant to be above women. And so those ideas carried down from generation to generation.

Also, there is the fact, that I as a feminist approve, that ,in general, men are stronger than women. It is a proven fact. Yes, there are many women who can be stronger than a man but im looking at general statistics. And so in ye olde days, strength was needed to survive, i%26#039;m guessing the man was put in front of the woman in all ways.

Early in history, society was extremely matriarchal, as childbearing was revered as a miracle. As science progressed, though, and it was accredited to the male sperm to produce a child, society took a turn to a more patriarchal mindset. Women were suppressed and not allowed to express themselves, so this patriarchal notion grew. Patriarchy was at its highest in the sixteenth century, when at one point the Catholic church brutally murdered hundreds of thousands of free-thinking women. As we have developed, though, society has moved away from that, and women have become more empowered. Researchers say that women are not yet considered completely equal, but North America and Europe have almost reached total gender equality. Places like the Middle East, though, still practice violent Patriarchy.

it started because men had some self-respect and did not want to be the woman%26#039;s ***** and cuckold and raise another man%26#039;s child while she gets the daylights f***ed out of her by him. first the oppressive bullying alpha males ruled the majority of males and the only way a beta male coudl get sex was to commit to the woman and give her stuff. women loved this and loved serving the alpha males and having the beta male as her *****, she didn%26#039;t give a f*** that 80% of the males out there were in an oppressive hell, so long as she got what she wanted, ironically not caring that 80% of her sons would have to live through this hellish environment. so long as she pumped out enough, the strongest 20% would pass on their genes, and the rest would die sad virgins, which didn%26#039;t bother the mothers at all; women are naturally apathetic.

then the beta males became organised and created monogamy and patriarchy. it didn%26#039;t work too well because women still cheated on the disgusting inferior beta males with the alpha males. the reason for gender discrimination is the fact that the less women could provide for themselves the more they required males, thus decreasing the minority of men get the majority of women ratio system. thus decreasing the skewed f***ed up ratio. also women were generally not fit for the work that men did in the old times because of the fact that they got pregnant. but now we can cheat biology with contraception.

gender discrimination is a myth

people are always treated according to what they deserve

do you see the weak man fighting with the strong man? no, because he deserves respect by virtue of his strength

similarly men are nice to women because they deserve it.

men were discriminated in the past as slaves and other ways - the lower class especially.

Reasons of gender discrimination:- Some people have female superiority.

Examples:- Rights of fathers, %26quot;guilty until proven innocent%26quot; concept used in rape etc.

Solutions:- Ask a feminist.

I either fall in love with Eoghan or I compete with him gals: Which is it?

*Throws Trevor a baby shower*

Either way, it's obvious that you have strongish feelings for him. Otherwise you wouldn't obsess over him like you do. Just sayin'.

Well that changes everything!! I wish you good health. : )

***strokes Gazz to calm him, whispers sweet nothings***

Trevor: What do you mean SHOULD you fall in love with our Eoghy?

He had you at hello baby doll

Get a dog instead. At least it will play games with you and be a loyal companion. I doubt whether Eoghan can play fetch.

A little healthy competition never hurt anyone. I guess an e-catfight might be entertaining.

Fall in love with him..you'll be in good company.

Everyone seems to be in love with Eoghan.

Fall in love, please.

Also, if you guys ever consummate it, I'd like to buy a DVD. Thanks <3

Everyone else around here seems to be in love with Eoghan. You might as well join the crowd!

Oh, what the heck. Just fall in love with him. Just don't take it too far-

Like SOME people do!

I already challenged you to a game of basketball and/or a dance off... whoever wins gets Eoghan as a prize. :D

Are you pregnant with octuplets? Congrats!

Hey what's wrong with both?

How do the following internet browsers compare in terms of misogyny according to modern Feminists:...?

(From most to least):

-Internet Explorer 7.0

-Mozilla Firefox

-Safari

-Netscape

-SeaMonkey 1.1.15

-Opera 9.64?

i think that is a valid question.

considering the fact that modern feminists are grievance collectors who scrutinize media, popular culture, news items ,ads, movies etc and search for examples which they consider anti-woman.

then as*holes like JILL KILSBOURNE will write a book or make a film called "killing us softly" or we have blogs like feminisiting.com

i think this is ridiculous.

if i have want to waste my time i can do a similar exercise anf find 100's of instances where men are supposedly wronged.

Are American women too smart for their own good?

I would agree. They are so smart, that they out smarted themselves. Too smart to be happy. That's why so many are miserable and confused.

awww...poor Mr. Moony...

come on in and lie down on the couch darlin...

It's okay...I'm not going to hurt you...

just breath and relax...

and tell me when your "issues" with women first started...

we'll sort through your fears and resentments and work this out

so that you too, may have a healthy, satisfactory relationship with a woman one day.

There's no such thing as being 'too smart' for one's own good. Education is an asset, not a liability. That goes for both men and women.

nothing tells me they are

they aren't doing anything new or anything that man hasn't done already

with Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears as an american women? are you kidding me?

How can one be too smart for his or her own good?

Stupid male supremest...

No. :)

Are you too stupid for your own good?

Women....too smart?

Uh, put the crack pipe down and wake up. Intelligence and women are like water and oil, they don't mix.

If you really weren

silky babydoll nighties and chemises

Maybe if we were even remotely similar in size.

As is, he'd ruin everything I own.

He has his own stuff for when I get the need to see him look pretty. Not a big fan of it, but he does it on occasion for me any how.

That's love right there <3 haha

James, any time one partner has a fetish the other doesn't participate in, there's inevitably a bit of distance. If the partner doesn't understand it at all, it could be a relationship killer unless the partner is quite tolerant.

I'd be fairly creeped out if my (male) partner wore sexy female lingerie, but we've been together so long it would not end the relationship.

I would certainly want to know what prompted this. It wouldn't break our marriage after all this time but it would be extremely peculiar and make me feel like he was a stranger, unless he had a good explanation.

OK actually it would creep both of us out. We're pretty conventional that way.

If he's a slender, androgynous type, it would be extremely sexy and I would even encourage it.

If he's really manly and hairy it wouldn't be as hot but I'd still be cool with it if it's what he likes.

I am really into sexy lingerie...and the only time I want my man touching it, is when he's taking it off my hot, smooth body.

I'm sure you'll find some women that are into that, but none for me thanks.

I like my men to be MASCULINE.

If he were sort of girl ish and slim. If he were big and hairy and super manly, it would be awkward....

But, what you do in the privacy of your own home, is your business.

I'm with Ninevah- some guys can really pull off lingerie, and I find it very sexy.

But no, it wouldn't bother me if my guy wore lingerie.

No, I like to see men in vulnerable positions. Also, it contrasts his masculinity nicely.

i don't care what my bf wears as long as he's happy, its not in public, he's not gay, and he's not cheating.

that's pretty homosexual.

I think it's very sexy. I would love it.

My man would look much sexier in manly things, such as boxers or boxer briefs. Silky boxers are nice. :)

Who would star and what would be the plot...?

... if G&WS was turned into a porno?

There's a few in here I'd do it for free with, and I'm a totally materialistic whore, so that's really saying something ^5

Allow me to take a moment to say: EW! EWWW!!! EW EW EW EW EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, you would star with jewelryik (evil grin), and while you were protesting outside of Harriet Harman's house, she would conk you on the head and lure you into her den of debauchery, where you would be so turned on by her riding crop and spiked combat boots that you would stick [CENSORED].

Are you offering to star in such a film?!! As it would be G&WS.... I think everyone should get a go.... lol... then if you were the male star... you would be sooo lucky... you could thrash out your disagreements whilst thrashing in another sense lol...Good luck with that :)...

LOL at the puns...you sound like you would run it like a militarian ;-p

Most of you here bore me. I'd go over to the Ramadan section and take 6-7 Muslim girls and put them in a dungeon with Eoghan. The fluffer would be one of the many dingbat bunny boilers rampant on this section...

This is one of those rare and special moments when I wish the human brain worked like an etch-a-sketch---get a bad picture in your brain? Shake your head and it's all gone

More interesting, who's going to be the fluffer?

I don't know, but I'd like to get a chance to get it on with Ninevah . . . .

It would be fun to put everyone into a show like at the end of "Rocky Horror," where they were dressed in burlesque-style getups and had to sing and dance against their will and completely out of character. Then they could all wind up in the pool and/or beamed back to their home planet. To make it more porn-y, they could get their gear off and get it on.

You can fight it out with some of the other macho types to be Eddie and get to ride a motorbike. Then you can be chopped up and eaten (eewww). You would qualify for this role because you're a proven meathead.

(Well, I couldn't resist. You know, Meatloaf and all...)

This guy and this girl are more than anxious to get it on, however, they're a bit skittish so they need encouragement.

Would you rather go the cheerleader football jock route. It's much more steamier. Now, you see the plot to this is she has an itch that needs to be scratched.

And I think I went overboard. My imagination is just running wild. Or you have these out of town guys come and do work for your town and a few girls go from door to door at the hotel where they're staying.

Or you have the girl who wants the attention of her crush and she gets it....

Now, the huge question is who is going to star.

You, yes you will be a star in my last scenario. There's this cute girl who you're not paying any attention to, (in this case you're not, so just play along) so finally one day she finds you busy talking with some of your friends and she gets your attention....No I'm not counted I'm giving the answer. The way people's minds work they'd be thinking the opposite.

Now for the female role.

I can't think of anyone right off hand. But, Harriet Harmon is not allowed on the set.

What are some falsehoods that are taught by historians about the Bolshevik () Revolution...?

In 1917 that modern Feminists consider terribly erroneous & upsetting with respect to how they address women (aka womyn or ladies) of that period?

I am not well versed in history, but I'm curious to know what critical information in male-dominated history departments were so incorrect about, with respect to the details of the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, as I'm reading about it in a book written by a man (perhaps a misogynist per Feminist ideology) and I want to make sure that he doesn't lie too much in this book..

Can someone with an extensive background in Gender and Women's Studies clarify this for me?

Thank you.

--------------------------------------...

*Feminists, please treat this seriously as it's important to my continuing education, so I implore that you refrain from making comments about my inability to read, penile size, domicile, net worth, sexuality and so forth so that I can learn something that will help me understand this interesting topic from the perspective of modern Feminists.

I have something to tell you. I think you are going to be quite impressed when I tell you this. Are you ready?

Dobra!

Do women not know when they are physically?

aroused? Some women on here stated women are turned on mentally and that their body will react physically if they see anything sexual, no matter what it is, even monkeys mating, and a woman may not even know it. There was a study that stated this.

However, there are women who disagree saying they know when they are physically turned on and it matches what mentally turns them on, which isn't animals or the gender they don't like.

So will women only become turned on if they are mentally turned on? Do women's bodies react to everything sexual, even bonobos mating?

Why are some women not so sure about their sexuality and what turns them on, but some are?

idk about other women but watching hockey (the NHL) does it for me.

and if they make a sequel to 300 I'll be watching it in the privacy of my bedroom. *fans self*

>monkeys mating

LOL I KNOW when I'm aroused...and movies about large primates don't do it! I was muc htoo busy loling at the chick screaming her lungs out! Now, Braveheart. LOTR, and 300.. now that's hot!

Those are some strange women, but w/e floats their boat...

Women are usually more in tune to mental stimulation, verses males are visually attracted to something.

To make it a bit more clear: a man would watch a porno, while a woman would read a sexual romance novel.

Hope that clears it up! :)

You're getting so many contradictory from women about their sexuality, I told you.. or, I told someone, most women don't know sh!t about their sexuality.

Women love male attention, their sexuality revolves around how much they are desired.

Korina got it all right.

.

Of course we do.

Well erections for men doesn't always mean the guy is aroused. If one of your male buddies kept rubbing your crotch the right way for a period of time, you're bound to get hard - it doesn't necessarily mean you're gay or bi. It's just physical stimulation. To me, that's physical arousal for men - not mental arousal though. Anything can get you hard if it rubs you the right way, lol.

For women, it might be different. Maybe seeing sexual things automatically sends blood to the vagina causing a slight physical arousal, but not necessarily mental arousal.

By nature, this sending of blood to the vagina is probably the first stage to getting the vagina ready for stimulation (getting it wet and loosening it). That study you're talking about didn't mean to say that the women were dripping wet - just that blood was sent to the vagina. The next stage of this physical arousal of the vagina is to get it a bit looser and get it dripping wet - this is where mental arousal comes into play. If the woman is exposed to what she likes (i.e. a gorgeous man) then this will get her to the full physical arousal - the widening and full lubrication of the vagina.

That's just what I think.

And yes, I do know what I like. How about a naked Philip Olivier laying on my bed with his hands crossed under his head? :)

@Out of the blue - the scene with the nude man wasn't sexual though - he was just walking along the beach normally (and who knows if he was an attractive man or some old guy? lmfao). The women showed some arousal only to sex-related things, such as a nude person performing something, not just walking.

Either way, I think that study was biased. If they wanna know what us women like, then they can just come up to our face and ask us.

EDIT: @out of the blue - I was talking about those women in the study specifically, not myself. Those women in the study, not myself, were said to be aroused by all sexual things. I'm just restating what they said, lol.

FACT OF THE MATTER: Women think monkeys are sexy.

Now that we have that premise, we can conclude that the first hypothesis is correct and the counter-argument cannot be true.

edit: It was on the discovery channel, apparently women take great pleasure in watching monkeys hop around, scratch their armpits, but more than anything, commit acts of 'monkey business'.

There's a certain level of disengagement between our minds and our bodies for everybody, men and women.

For example, there was a study doing the same questions of physical arousal and mental consciousness of said arousal for men who professed to be homophobic (who were then shown gay male erotic images). The men had a similar reaction- the measurements showed increases in blood flow and penile girth, even though they marked their reactions as not being turned on.

The study you cite does suggest that women have some sort of sexual reaction when viewing imagery of a sexual nature, but more studies need to be done to help us confirm this and understand it better.

In the end, it just takes knowing your own body and being able to be aware of your arousal, I suppose.

EDIT: I think a big deal here is that we're forgetting that the arousal we're talking about here is not necessarily full-on. The devices used in such studies measure miniscule changes in our physical arousal. So we're not always talking about raging rock hard erections or girls dripping with lubrication. It's definitely possible for a machine to detect a change in male arousal when for all practical purposes he looks flaccid.

But good for you for knowing what turns you on.

EDIT #2: Yeah, but I'm getting so tired of hearing people make disparaging comments. The study clearly cites that the women who were aroused by the different imagery, including the monkey ones, were not aware of their arousal. This means, for example, that Dracula loves chocolate bunnies could easily watch it and become aroused without knowing it. These are not women who watch King Kong and get turned on- it's not about the monkeys so much as it is about the sex. I don't know why some women are unable to know that they're feeling slightly aroused, and neither do researchers. Maybe someday we'll be able to understand, hopefully. But, as I said, some men also exhibit the same tendencies (as per the above study).

It's fascinating stuff, and I wish people would stop cheapening it by saying that women are zoophiliacs into bestiality, or other women would stop saying "Well, I'm not into monkey sex!" as if there's no possible chance- because that's what the women in the study also said.

Gwennie B's turned on by monkey sex LOL!

No dude, I think the study is bs. I have never seen a woman enjoy watching monkey's get it on. I'm sure there are some but it's rare. Every woman I have been with knew when they were aroused. How couldn't they? The author probably wanted the results they concluded, and covered it up by saying the women didn't "know". What a croc.

Korina ~ Actually the study, if it's the one I think he's talking about, said women aren't aroused by nude men. So maybe the women in the study were more on the lesbian side and it doesn't apply to straight women, because they are turned on by men.

edit Korina ~ : You said that you are turned on by men, so why would you become aroused by other women or monkeys mating? Or are you? Or would you know?

"Philip Olivier laying on my bed with his hands crossed under his head"

LOL! According to the study this wouldn't arouse a woman because it's not sexual.

Interesting question.

Sadly, there are probably a lot of women who aren't aware of their sexual arousal because they've spent their entire lives actively repressing it.

Women have, in most societies, historically been socialized to deny or minimize their sexual desires and needs, so it really shouldn't be so surprising that some are confused or unwilling to deal with it at all.

They probably subconsciously, if not actively, fear the stigma of being a "bad" girl.

Lol, then there are those like myself and some of the other answerers who embrace our sexuality and can tell you unequivocally and without reserve EXACTLY what works and how we feel at any given moment. It can range from mild arousal to full fledged "heat." (Reference to one of am's prior questions, lol.)

Personally, I can wake up in a desperate state of "want" with no apparent stimulus, so I can't say it's always mental, but what goes on in my head can absolutely inflame my body. So can my guy's gorgeous dimples, a sexy look in the eyes, or a well-toned muscle, a strong cheek bone, a telling glance, the way a finger traces my hand, or an erotic story...the list is as endless as my imagination, and I have a very vivid one, lol. I tend to be very sensual, and while some women embrace this within themselves, others avoid it or find it very disconcerting.

I think a woman's acceptance of her sexuality can absolutely be key to whether or not she can actually identify what she finds erotic or sexually stimulating.

THEY...

THEY CAN'T ...

THEY CAN'T HANDLE...

THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE...

...THE FACT THEY ARE...

BUTT-UGLY! Lmao!!!

How many ones can you pay for your groceries with before the cashier begins to think you

When I go to my local Tescos on my way home from work I am usually still wearing my nipple tassels and have a butt crack full of loose change, so I think they have figured out my job by now.

Edit

For those not familiar with life in the UK, I am a traffic warden.

A decent club stripper is paid with "funny-money" and there is no chance for 1 dollar bill when they redeem it for cash.

A waitress always runs short 1 dollar bills by giving them as change to the cheap chaps.

My bet will be - if you come with over 30 of 1 dollar bills - that you just collected too many. So, you're safe :)

bah who cares what ppl think anyway!

I agree with rio - im Canadian and our notes are much easier to work with cause each denomination is a different colour so you know without looking at the number on the bill, what bill you are taking out of your wallet. For example, 5 dollar bills are blue and 10s are purple so you dont have to go through all your bills just to find what you want

Why would someone think that?

If someone pays with big bills, would you think they're a drug dealer or something?

Who cares what the cashier thinks as long as you can pay for the groceries?

I once bought $45 worth of groceries with loose change.

The cashier was not happy.

Don't ask if they want a lap dance, and all should be good.

I don't know why Americans have ones, anyway. We Canadians switched to dollar coins decades ago.

You would look like a crap stripper in England cause the only ones we have are coins. If I was a stripper I wouldnt want people throwing coins at me lol

Ones? You can't be a very good one.

Maybe the cashier thinks you are a waitress.

she might even think your another cashier

if you are paying for it all in ones and you actually are a stripper, maybe you are not doing it right?

Haha!

If you pull them outta your purse instead of your bra or waist, I think you'll get by just fine.

And what happens if the cashier thinks you're a stripper?

Well as long as you aren't going shopping in your g-string and pasties, I don't think anyone would much care

Well, it depends on if you look stripper-ish more than how many $1 bills you have.

..........or, a waitress.

ps Who cares what the cashier thinks? It's noone of his/her business!

Who cares what the cashier thinks you are?

hahaha

you tell me

pole climber ; )

No more than twenty, I'd say.

trust me the same thing happens to guys who go to strip clubs. When your stuck with like 30 one dollar bills

That's funny! I needed a good laugh tonight. ;-)

Are women any more

Do the anti-equalists not know that everyone has been oppressed all throughout history by the small wealthy ruling classes that holds all the power. Men as well as women. But that fact is conveniently overlooked by the feminista.

Are they not aware that right now men are being horribly tortured in foreign lands?

I'm not an anti-equalist. And I think that women and men are both oppressed, but in different ways. By both the government, as you stated, and each other. I recognize that in a lot of ways men have it worse than women even in the US, and yes I do see that as a problem. I think all forms of discrimination (legal and social) are negative.

The difference is that men who were oppressed in history weren't suffering because they had a penis. It was because they weren't the right race, religion or class.

The women suffered the same, in addition to suffering for having a vagina.

Not exactly even stevens, eh?

This continues in other places in the world today.

Human rights fighters help everyone, but considering many of the areas where men and women both suffer see women suffering additionally based solely on the fact they're female...makes sense to me that women's rights fighters are still necessary.

Not in the west, but the world extends quite a bit further. That's still plenty of people in need.

I don't see any reason someone can't support both.

Celtish, who the heck d'you think devised Feminism? The very "small wealthy ruling class" that you correctly note has held most of the power.

The difference is, back in the bad old days, anyone who wanted to could quietly slip out of Society and not get caught up in that. The over-centralisation of today ensures that can no longer happen. The other thing is, men are being tortured horribly in the West - it's called the Divorce courts.

and you think that a female circumcision is not torture?

certainly men have been oppressed too, but not to the same extent as women. i think what you need to understand is that feminism is about achieving rights for women, it's not feminism's responsibility to look after the rights of men.

that's not to say we don't think they deserve rights, that's not to say that we don't think they face oppression too, i have 2 brothers and i certainly don't always like the way gender stereotypes places them in difficult positions. but feminism is focused on achieving rights for women, if you want people to look out for men start your own group and quit attacking this one for not doing something they never set out to do.

the fact that men are oppressed too is not overlooked by feminists, we are just trying to get our own rights, we can't fight everyone battles when we're still fighting one of our own. if you have a problem, solve it yourself and don't attack other groups for trying to sort out their own problems and not yours for you.

Celtish, there is something you seem to be forgetting. Back in those days that was the norm to have different classes of people; in many cases they were not forced to stay in those conditions. I know it's never been so in the States; however, when dealing with the serfs and that in your land it's very true.

The feminista, as you call them, are not looking. They have got no intentions on looking; that's the problem. They can hear you; all of you, but they're not listening.

In some countries, yes.

In others, no.

Who.s bus.is it that the women want ,octoput mom ,more children?

And why should the government spend a million dollars on them

octomom can have all the children she wants on her dime, not the governments. If you can't afford to have kids, then don't have them. That's why I have two because that is what i can afford.

The people that want her to have more kids are the ones who watch Springer. Shows like that allow others to think their life isn't so bad because they're showing the extremes.

Men, do you get frustrated if you are besotted by a lady, yet she acts oblivious...?

For example, if you want to address her beauty, you stare at her, smile, etc...yet she always just acts pleasant and friendly to you, as if she is "oblivious" to her looks?

Would you find that frustrating?

No I find it hot and interesting. Makes me want to know her even more.

god i hate when women try and go around the question they are actually trying to ask. You want to know if men get mad when you don't pay attention to them. No most men move on and find a girl without a chip on her shoulder. lol Gold digger those are words people use when they have some kind of education

maybe shes jus not intrested in him... but shes to nice an polite to brush him off... so she spends some time acting frendly...

i wudent have patence for that... when creeps hit on me... i jus ignore them... or tell them to get lost...

...btw... wats besoted an oblivous mean???

no i would not

This is a question for women: Have you ever had a dream where you were unusually big and/or superstrong?

if so, what did you think of it?

Note: Please don't answer with talking about an unrelated dream you have had recently.

I've had dreams where I was physically very strong, yes. I also had frequent dreams in which I was a man. I think it was a response to my own feeling of weakness; my best friend is a guy about 3 inches taller than me and 40 pounds heavier, all muscle. I WANTED to be strong, and my dreams were the only place where I could. Then I started working out. The dreams stopped, and I am in the best shape I've ever been.

Yeah I had a related dream about me turning into this huge spider with my face and people were throwing shoes at me that kept bouncing off. I felt strong and powerful then; come to think if it I always feel strong, so what does that odd dream have to do with anything? Absolutely nothing.

Anyways; it was a cool dream.

There's no need to feel sorry for me; I don't have any need for your sympathy. I do quite well on my own, thank you very much.

Yes, then I woke up, did the pregnancy test and nine month later, I had gained with my daughter 60 pounds. Amazing, what a dream can predict! I "called Jenny", right away ! :-)

No, I don't recall having any such dream.

no..

Why do some men think being falsely accused of rape is worse than being raped?

I love the confidence of some of the posters - he will go to jail and get raped!

There is at least a 95% probability that he will not go to jail.

I have every sympathy for anyone falsely accused of rape or sexual abuse, especially in miscarriages of justice, where they sometimes spend years of their life in jail but presenting it as a be raped / go to jail for being falsely accused of rape dichotomy is so unrepresentative of the true figures as to be ridiculous. When you have been raped, the crime has been commited, you have suffered whatever the doings of the legal system - if you are falsely accused of rape, you can argue your case, you can prove yourself innocent, and if you are a trustworthy person, it is unlikely that people will believe the allegation anyway. If you have been raped, and no-one is brought to justice, there is nothing you can do to argue for justice for yourself, and you may also have a smear on your reputation (she says she was raped but they never arrested anyone).

Going to jail for a crime you did not commit would be as bad as rape, but being accused but not prosecuted, or prosecuted but found innocent is no-where near as bad, imo.

Because, frankly, there is a whole social structure established specifically to ruin the lives of anyone accused of rape.

When you go to get a job, do they ask you if you%26#039;ve ever been raped? Because they will sure as hell look into your history and see %26quot;Accused of rape%26quot;, and more than likely you will not get that job.

Being raped is awful, and actual rapists are terrible people, but the thing is nobody sees %26quot;Accused of rape%26quot; and then has all the preconceptions that the person is a rapist quelled by %26quot;acquitted%26quot;. In fact, many people will assume he got of as innocent under false pretenses.

Some men feel this way because some men have their reputations permanently tarnished by simply being accused of sex crimes. It can affect their employment, friendships and relationships in a very negative way because there will always be a suspicious cloud over their head due to the false allegations.Would you let your loved one date a man who was accused of rape? Would you want your child to be taught by a man who was accused of rape?......Falsely accusing a man of rape is NOT worse than being raped, but it IS a horrible crime perpetrated against the man.

Nothing is worse than being raped, even with therapy it scars the woman forever.

Even having been a rape victim, I can%26#039;t imagine anyone falsely accusing someone of rape - it could destroy their life, even if proved innocent the %26quot;taint%26quot; of the accusation would remain. Being accused of something as horrendous as rape is damaging to the credibility of a person. An accusation like that will follow them, whether or not it is true.

Well, assuming the man is being found guilty, not only will the accused rapist get jailed and decried, he%26#039;ll probably get raped himself. Multiple times. In the bum. Then shanked. It should be obvious that this is worse.

If he gets off from the sentencing, then they%26#039;re only close to being about as bad as the other, one being the demons from within, one being the demons without, both giving you psychological trauma for a long, long time.

Because not only are you going to have your life completely ****** up forever, but you are also going to be unfairly viewed as the lowest of the low by most people. As terrible as rape is for a woman, at least all decent people view her with nothing but sympathy, and aside from PTSD, she is not going to spend the rest of her life having to suffer, unlike a man who has been falsely convicted of rape. They are both bad enough things that I would be willing to agree that its pointless to argue which is worse.

Ok, so you are unjustly accused. You know you didn%26#039;t do it, but the media and society are stacked against you from the get go. And you don%26#039;t have a great alibi because hey, who needs an alibi if they didn%26#039;t do anything?!?!? What is your response? %26quot;I didn%26#039;t do it%26quot;??? Even frickin DHAMER said he didn%26#039;t do it. It feels awful to be accused of something you didn%26#039;t do. And it makes you angry. So if you are a man who is unjustly accused and then you get PISSED at the woman who is accusing you--it just gives the media whores an excuse to point their fingers and say %26quot;SEE!! SEE how violent and aggressive he is. Just LOOK at his temper!%26quot;

I successfully prosecuted the right man for my rape, but I take personal offense when women LIE about something so devastating

You have apparently never had the pleasure of being part of the finely tuned %26quot;justice system%26quot;Arrested booked printed ,photographed, interrogated, jailed , bailed arraignment ,trials ,lost jobs ,attorneys fees.

Being falsely accused is enough to ruin a guys life.

The falsely accused, especially when the media is involved will carry the stigma of a true ,guilty rapist ,even though he is not guilty.

Same reason as some women think being raped is worse than being falsely accused of rape.

It%26#039;s highly unlikely a woman will ever experience the societal shame of such an accusation, but there%26#039;s a higher chance an inmate may experience a rape.

So, I guess some men may actually know from experience.

ps - some people here clearly have no idea what it%26#039;s like to be falsely accused of rape.

because that falsely accused rapist goes to jail for a very long time... in prison he/she gets raped, he/she gets beaten... and he/she just gets tortured for not doing anything wrong... and he/she has to stay in prison for a VERY long time.... and can you imagine if castration laws were put in place for rapists?? being falsely accused of rape is a little bit worse than being raped

i know people who were raped.... so i do have an idea about what its like

not only that but LEGALLY i%26#039;ve been raped plenty of times....

A person accused of rape has no support system whatsoever. As horrible as rape is a woman who is raped will get at the very least government mandated help. A falsely accused man gets nothing, not to mention that if/when he goes to prison he could get raped.

I%26#039;ve never actually heard a man saying that. What I have heard is men saying that it%26#039;s a very serious thing to do to a man, because it ruins his reputation and really screws up his life. It should be taken seriously, and the false accuser should be penalized for her actions.

Its just as bad or worse, a falsely accused %26quot;rapist%26quot; stands to get raped, beaten and or murdered in prison, if he is not murdered he faces solitary confinement for years ............and there is no punishment for making false accusations.

Both are crimes that violate personal boundaries, and infringe on the life, well-being, and stability of the victim.

Both have the potential to destroy the lives of the victim for years to come, if not forever.

They are equally heinous.

One of them destroys your ability to trust people, makes all sorts of people you used to think were friends begin to doubt you, and will usually wreck your career and personal relationships for years (if not permanently).

So will the other one.

I would not call it worse, but it is equally bad. They have to live with that stigma for the rest of their lives. If they get convicted, it will go on their record..

Because rape only lasts a few minutes whereas prison sentences can take away huge chunks of someone%26#039;s life.

%26#039;Some people here clearly have no idea what it%26#039;s like to be raped%26#039;.I%26#039;d say that was a given because most people don%26#039;t get raped, but you make it sound like an insult!

rape is bad

joking about it is even worse

if a woman is falsely accusing people of rape, she should be put in jail

you can get your ***hole torn apart in jail every single day for years

I would rather be raped, than put in jail for ten years, or however long.

Its not worse than, but its as bad as.

Not some.

ALL.

Feminist literary theory?

What significant development in feminist literary theory has emerged from insight of socialist feminism that both fiction and its readers are products of material conditions or specific social structures?

Hm, material conditions and social structures sounds like Marxism to me - as for the connection between socialism and literary theory, I can only think it may be something to do with marxism and ideology. I haven't actually studied this as a feminist, so don't take my word for it - but I would think something to do with Althusser, encoding and decoding, appelations in word usage, etc. Or it could be something more general about word usage maintaining power structures in society (critical linguistics) - ie, referring to 16 year old boys as 'men', and 93 year old women as 'girls' - etc. Is just a guess :-)

" referring to 16 year old boys as 'men', and 93 year old women as 'girls'" isn't about power structure; in general, younger women and older men are seen as attractive by people.

When you say "fiction and its readers are products of material conditions or specific social structures", I think you should talk about how, for example, most authors are educated, moderately well-off middle-class men aged 30-60 who live in cities in the Western world, and thus their viewpoints reflect those of such people.

really carrie I am not going to do your homework for you.

Why is everyone on GWS a labeller?

All of the GWS users are constantly labelling everyone and making generalisations. Calling everyone feminist or anti-feminists. Why are you all such labellers????

Personally, I'm anti-labelism.

So you wouldn't label yourself as gay or straight? People use labels for everything.

EDIT: Aren't you labeling yourself by calling yourself an anti-labelist?

Personally, I'm for scrapping the whole nitsy little "personal names" and "pronouns" bit. Because really, every time you say 'dog' or 'it' or 'tree', him her she they them etc you're naming them, right? Or is that just calling them by their name? Or are you being possessive? Are names not labels? Heh? Whaz going on again I think I lost track of the question...? O_o

It's just like you to ask a question like this, you pro-ask-questions-like-this-er.

Putting a label on someone really does demean them, huh? How distasteful.

Bella: It's a good point. Still, I'd point out that both "straight", and particularly "gay", have been high insults to many. Labels can be used to attach a note of hostility, although it's a good point that doing so isn't necessarily the case.

By saying that all the GWS users label, you just generalized haha. I try to avoid labels as well. People seem to get angry when you say you don't like labels though. Just like everything else on here, there's no pleasing everyone... sometimes not anyone.

I am also against the concept of labeling.

As for the gay or straight thing and labels: that is more black and white. There's a lot of gray area with some people being labeled femnist or anti-femnist, or liberal or conservative for that matter.

Anti-labelism?

Feministriachy?

Femorrhoids?

Where do you come up with these words?

My label: Winter Glory.

I got one for Christmas and now I can't stop. I label the plastic containers in the pantry, the baby's toy bins, the laundry bins....it's addictive.

Aren't you the same little boy that's constantly throwing "labels" on feminists? Like fat, smelly....mean because one of them dumped you and now you're taking it out on all of them?

Guess what I'm going to type up in my labeler for you? It begins with an "h."

EDIT-Never mind. So you two are back together? How sweet.

Geez..."hypocrite", OK? Because you complain about how people label others, but do the same thing yourself. That's hypocritical behavior, right?

I am an anti-feminist.

What inspirational romance publisher is this? (It

I forgot the name of this inspirational romance publisher, but I really liked their books.

What you do is look on their site and they'll send you one novella for free to see if you like their books. Then, if you decide to subscribe, they send you (it was either one or two) novellas per month by their writers. Also, they have several books where four 100 page novellas are combined into one novel. There are several subgenres such as historical and modern romances, etc.

Does anyone know the name of this publisher?

Thanks.

Harlequin, probably. Don't bother with them. You'll be reading the exact same book with a different title, different names, and possibly a different setting twice a month.

Why do people say that looks don

when we know they do. Obviously straight people are attracted to the opposite sexes body, gay people are attracted to the same-sexes body and bisexuals are attracted to both body types. Whatever group you're in you find one gender or both gender's arousing, unless you're asexual. Therefore, you seek out what you're sexually attracted too. See I told you looks matter.

They do to some extent but not entirely. And I think for some people they are more important than for others.

There are people who get and stay married to people with severe deformities, badly scarred people, blind people, unusually sized people, not to mention just plain unattractive people, so either they have very different preferences, or they are looking for more important factors.

Harriet

I think it's foolish for anyone to say looks don't matter, unless they are actually blind, in which case, it might be true.

I think the perception that people need to have a "certain look" or stereotypical appearance to be attractive is the idea that so many consider an issue. That, and the idea that "attractive" people can act any way and do anything and still look good.

The reality is that no matter what you look like, there are people who will find you very attractive, and others who will find you average or even unattractive based on their personal likes and preferences. There is simply no "one type is most beautiful."

And, no matter how attractive or beautiful someone may be physically, if he or she is a self-centered, egotistical, rude person, that negates a lot of the attraction factor.

Looks matter, but behavior and character have more impact over time.

Looks is another thing that you can like someone for, but just because they don't have the best looks then you wont like them for that. It isn't totally wrong to like someone for their looks but you don't truly love them if their looks is the only thing you like about them. In that case you are just in love with their face! Its what is on the inside that matters the most!!

yeah that is true.

many people do judge.

i dont think i do.

i would go out with a guy if he were fat, ugly, cute or skinny.(just not old)

it doesnt matter to me, even if it means being friends with them.

but i dont get it when people out there say looks don't matter then they actually go out judging and shiittt.

people can beee so meaan.

i look more at how succesful a guy is... looks come 2nd... but of corse he shud look like a succes to... after all i dont want to be seen with some trashy stinky slob either.... i mean i dont want to be with some 1 thatll embarass me...

They do matter to an extent, I wouldn't date some drop dead beautiful woman if I couldn't have a good conversation with her.

Political correctness.

they're not just blowing hot air. Look who they marry.

because they're full of crap! Looks matter, it's just not the only thing that matters.

thats what ugly people say to try and feel better about themselves

I'd answer this, but you beat me to it. :)

Why is the ideal woman so hard to find? An ideal woman is, of course, a woman who only slobs on my knob like?

corn on the cob. I'm not even kidding. Are these women out there? If so, where?

Are you confusing the ideal woman with a slut?

They're out there but do you want them kissing your kids, your mom or even you with that mouth?

LOL

I

Maybe she has it or doesn't like Starbucks as a company?

Or do you think that it's better not to give a receipt and assume that it will be fine?

I'm a tutor and I would love a Starbucks mug. I don't think the gift receipt is necessary. If she doesn't like it she can re-gift it. You sound like a nice, generous person.

Hi there Sheila,

I would simply give her the gift, minus the receipt. When I give a gift I prefer not to share the cost of the gift, which a receipt would of course give her.

You might be able to get a gift receipt from Starbucks without a price, since it is a gift. The gift may have a box itself, so if your tutor does not want that gift, she can exchange it.

You can enclose a gift card with your name and email address if you really want to communicate with your tutor and not looking for a "thank you" note. Why not just add, "keep in touch when you have time", and that will give her the opportunity to use your email as she feels comfortable.

It sounds like a really nice gift. Mugs are always popular as gifts as they are so versatile.

Troublesniffer

Loves giving gifts

A gift receipt would be fine to give, but not really necessary for that type of gift.

As far as your tutor contacting you - how do they tutor you? They must have a way to contact you. Also, you are giving them a gift; how are you doing that?

If you are not going to see her anymore, then you could give a "keep in touch" note with the mug which includes your e-mail. That would relieve the potential she thinks you need a thank-you note.

No. It is a small gift for thanks (I assume). It is not she could return it for a different color or size. Anyone can use a mug for anything, water, coffee, tea, pot a plan in it :-) Besides, if she returned such a thing as a coffee mug then she should be tutored.

If she doesn't want it, you can send it my way...mine just broke :-)

it is a gift of appreciation..just a small token..if she is that particular about it, then she can regift it to someone else.. i think the gift receipt is not needed..i'm sure she will appreciate the gesture..

I got crazy wacky used things for Christmas from some of my kids..where the gift was not great, i was absolutely thrilled that they thought of me...their love and appreciation was worth way way way way way more to me than any gift in the world!!

She will feel as if you appreciate her by just there mere thought of a gift, not what the gift is.

yes. and perhaps a $5 GC for a cup of joe!

there is nothing offensive in giving a gift receipt with a gift. I usually like to give people an option of returning if the item isn't going to be used by them. as I'd rather them enjoy my gift as opposed to it just gathering dust on a shelf.

have you ever seen her with starbucks?

i wouldn't bother with the receipt but give her the email address.

Starbucks is a good company, they treat their employees well and practice fair trade. it's her problem if she doesn't like the company.

Lmao, I can't imagine anyone being like, "Starbucks?! Why this is insulting, I buy my coffee from Dunkin Donuts!"

I think you'll be fine. :p

Great gift, very thoughtful.

Give mug, small amount gift card, no receipt necessary.

Include a short note. Providing your email address is fine.

Most of us communicate via email, etc.

With something that inexpensive, I wouldn't worry about it.

You might enclose a gift card to go with the mug though...

Peace

i would just give her the mug....if she already has one then she will have 2....and if she doesnt like it thats her problem..i mean its the thought that counts right.

A gift receipt couldn't hurt.
